Emma Faraday and Richard Keen established Hertford Investors in 2015 as a property advisory company, specialising in development and regeneration. With over 30 years combined commercial and residential property experience between the South West and London, Hertford Investors aims to provide a bespoke advisory service to existing investors and new clients.

Emma - is a Chartered Surveyor and founding Director of Hertford Investors and shares overall responsibility for residential and commercial projects.

Emma started her career as a graduate surveyor at Knight Frank before moving to King Sturge as a Development Surveyor. She has dealt with a variety of instructions from single plot developments to large scale residential opportunities, bringing forward development sites, undertaking acquisitions and providing marketing, disposal and consultancy advice. In addition to development, Emma has experience in valuation, landlord and tenant, property and asset management.

Clients have included both private and public sector organisations such as Defence Estates, Church Commissioners, St Loyes Foundation, Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall County Council, BAE Systems and the University of Plymouth.

From King Sturge Emma moved to the South West Regional Development Agency delivering regeneration in Camborne, Pool and Redruth before joining the Mount Wise team in 2008 to assist in the delivery of the Mount Wise project in Plymouth.

Richard – is a Chartered Surveyor and founding Director of Hertford Investors and shares overall responsibility for residential and commercial projects.

Richard started his career at Richard Ellis (now CBRE) at their head office in the West End of London, initially in the Valuation Team before moving to the West End Business Team to focus on investment and development transactions. On leaving Richard Ellis, he held senior development positions at Grosvenor, the private property company controlled by the Duke of Westminster and Quintain Estates & Development PLC before becoming a Partner at Brockton Capital.

As a result, Richard has gained diverse experience across a variety of property sectors including offices, retail, leisure, hospitality and residential in a number of cities including London, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol and Dublin.

In 2009, Richard returned home to Devon and initially worked for the South West Regional Development Agency before becoming involved in the delivery of the residential led mixed use regeneration of Mount Wise in Plymouth.
